LAUNCH: Ontario’s Premier Year-Round High Performance Training Facility

Ontario Snowboard and Freestyle Skiing Ontario have partnered to create LAUNCH, a world-class, year-round training facility designed to elevate athlete development and performance in freestyle snow sports. Located at Horseshoe Valley Resort, just 90 minutes from Toronto, LAUNCH provides a safe, progressive environment where athletes—from first-time jumpers to Olympic-level competitors—can train, learn, and push their limits.

A Safer Way to Progress

LAUNCH features a state-of-the-art downslope airbag system, allowing athletes to safely learn and refine aerial skills before taking them to snow. Combined with trampoline training and a dry slope in-run, athletes can progress through a structured pathway—from trampoline, to airbag, to on-snow performance—reducing injury risk while accelerating skill development.

This progression-based approach enables:

• Increased training repetition and faster skill acquisition
• Improved air awareness and confidence
• Reduced risk when learning high-level tricks
• A more effective transition to competition environments

World-Class Infrastructure

Designed by industry leaders and modeled after top international facilities, LAUNCH includes:

• A 22m Olympic-sized airbag (50m x 22m landing surface)
• Two jump lines (35ft and 45ft takeoffs) for novice to elite athletes
• Industry-leading JF dry slope surface for realistic on-snow simulation
• Three Olympic-sized trampolines and one Super Trampoline (opening Summer 2026)
• Scaffolding drop-in and progressive ramp system
